Origins of the Air Max Plus shoe

Nike's revolutionary Air-Sole unit was introduced to the Nike footwear line in 1978. In 1987, the Nike Air Max 1 first featured visible air in the heel. Now, in addition to feeling the comfort of Air-Sole technology, everyone could also see it in action. In 1998, the Air Max Plus introduced a cushioning system where Air-Sole units were adapted to certain parts of the foot, providing more stability and support for runners.
