Het bovenwerk combineert wit mesh, suède en synthetische overlays met bewust ruwe randen, zichtbaar schuim rond de kraag en gedeconstrueerde afwerkingen die de indruk geven van een sneaker rechtstreeks uit de ontwerpstudio.
Deze Premium-versie blijft trouw aan het DNA van de Air Max 90 en behoudt de zichtbare Max Air-unit in de hiel voor zachte en duurzame demping. De foam tussenzool zorgt voor uitstekend dagelijks comfort, terwijl de rubberen wafelzool betrouwbare grip biedt. Bright Crimson-details rond de Air-unit en op verschillende onderdelen verwijzen naar de legendarische Infrared-kleurstelling en versterken de "inside-out" uitstraling.
