Origins of the Nike Air Max
Nike's revolutionary Air-Sole unit was incorporated into the brand's shoes in the late '70s. In 1987, the Nike Air Max 1 first featured visible air in the heel. Now, in addition to feeling the comfort of Air-Sole technology, everyone could also see it in action. Since then, the next generation of Nike Air Max shoes has enjoyed constant success with athletes and collectors, thanks to their striking color combinations and their lightweight design, which provides a perfectly cushioned ride.
The return of an icon released in 2010
We haven't seen it since 2010, the Nike Air Structure Triax 91 will make its return in 2021. Alongside the "Grey Purple" and "Dark Citron" versions will come this more sober "Grey Black". The runner features a black mesh upper, enhanced with geometric overlays in tone-on-tone suede or gray leather. Touches of white on the central swoosh and midsole refine the silhouette.
